San Francisco is always brimming with a plethora of activities, especially in spring. It is not just the cherries that blossom through springtime. The various attractions don a special cast as people begin to spend entire days, evenings and even some nights outdoors, exploring and touring, and sightseeing. Travelers visiting the area during Easter can attend the annual sunrise service held at Mount Davidson, or visitors can sign up for one of the bay cruises. There are Union Street Festivals and a myriad of theaters, concerts, and public exhibitions. Do not miss the Union Street Easter Parade. It is a family-friendly annual celebration with live entertainment, games and rides, and of course food. The parade is usually planned for the 1st of April every year. Through the spring of 2018, Curran will have Head Over Heels, the SF Playhouse will host The Effect, and ACT will have Vietgone. Sports enthusiast can always catch one of the Golden State Warriors games across the Bay.

San Francisco International Film Festival will be held on the 4th through the 17th of April. This is going to be the sixty-first edition and will feature filmmakers from approximately fifty countries with hundreds of Indies and premiers, documentaries and winning films from various international film festivals among others. The live music scene will be heating up through spring at the Masonic or Fillmore or Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. There are many other venues to consider as well. Free walking tours on the Golden Gate Bridge that highlight the history of the iconic bridge are available.
The perfect California Spring weather is the ideal time for a wine tour, and the perfect time of year to take in panoramic views of Napa vineyards. Visitors to the Bay Area also enjoy the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival which this year, will be held on the weekends of April 14th & 15th and 21st & 22nd.
